Wickes Arborists™ has 80 years of experience servicing both our residential and commercial entities.  Our clients have come to expect only the best, most professional tree, lawn and shrub care the industry can offer. This expectation is due to the fact that Wickes Arborists is a leader in the industry; many of Wickes' employees are certified and licensed.  In turn, we are committed to our employees by offering and supporting continuing education to help them achieve and maintain licensure/certification.

We currently may have employment opportunities for the following:

Arborist Representative

Individual represents Wickes Arborists™ in the field and is expected to identify, diagnose and recommend the services offered by the company. 2-4 year degree in horticulture or related experience needed as well as strong interpersonal skills. Communication and sales skills are developed through in-house training. The Certified Arborist credential is preferred.

General Tree Work Foreman

Manages job site operations including equipment and personnel. We train each foreman on how to efficiently set up and safely manage their crews in a positive environment. Working knowledge of aerial lift equipment, cranes, truck chippers, saws and climbing operation is required. Certification in CPR, First Aid, EHAP and aerial rescue as well as CDL license training may be provided by the company.

ArborWatch (IPM technician)

Conducts field diagnoses and treatment of customers' properties through a holistic approach. Extensive knowledge of trees, shrubs, turf grass, insects and diseases are needed in order to be successful in this position. A 30-hour certification class may be provided. This class can train technicians in diagnosis of insects, disease and environmental factors as well as identifying tree species.

Tree Climber/Worker

Assists in top quality general tree work. Knowledge of chipper, saw, stump grinder, and ground operations is needed for this position. Employees are trained and educated in the required OSHA and ANSI safety standards.
